Ganesh

ganeshThe Doc passed me this super Ganesh statue which he bought when he went touring in India. It came up in the forum and I just went and painted it over the course of the day. First a spray of black. Do something else. Then painted it in tin. Do something else. Painted a layer of tin mixed with bronze. Do something else. Gave it a wash of black ink and tamiya clear smoke. Do something else. Wash of a cocktail of different greenish blue paints and the verdigris glaze. Do something else. A wash of verdigris glaze. Do something else. And finally one more wash of TC smoke. And thats done it! Phew! Practically no time used since each layer was done in about one minute.

The picture shows Dr Jones explaining the historical significance of the idol to the nice reporter lady.
